Titjikala School is located 130km south of Alice Springs in the community of Titjikala on Maryvale Station. The population of the surrounding community is approximately 270; the residents are predominantly Luritja and Pitjantjatjara people, however there are some Aranda people. The community can be accessed via road, 4WD only, and the road is impassable in wet weather. Titjikala can also be accessed via air through air charter services only.

Titjikala School is part of the Lasseter Group School and provides education services to students from preschool to middle years. A childcare centre/preschool is run within the community by its members. Most secondary aged students attend Yirara College in Alice Springs or the Wiltja Program in Adelaide.
